CDE Software periodically offers prerelease products available for beta testing. Products that are under beta testing may be for new and upcoming versions, new products or testing for updates to existing products.

What Beta Testing Is:

Beta testing is done primarily prior to the official release of software and many times is also carried through the program lifecycle to test updates or fixes.  While everything is done to help prevent issues such as loss of data, this is one of the risks associated with beta testing.

Beta testing also gives an opportunity to be involved in the creative and decision making process in terms of how changes are made and features that are implemented.

If you choose to beta testing products, the following is expected of you:

• Keep up to date with beta versions as released
• Use and task the program to help locate and issues
• Report issues in a timely manner that can help developers trouble shoot the issues
• Follow instructions when directed to test or task certain areas of the program
• Not just be a passive beta participant. We need interaction and responses regarding areas that may need work.
• Test. Test. Test.

What Beta Testing Is Not:

Beta testing is NOT an opportunity to simply get free software.

Non-Disclosure Agreement:

Due to the sensitive nature of the software business, all accepted beta testing customers are required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in order to protect discussion of new features, product planning and other issues.

Current Beta Testing Opportunities

There is current opportunity to participate in beta testing our multiple event tournament software solution. Automatic Scoring system is not required, as we are pooling customers with and without autoscoring.

Requirements:

• Windows Vista, Windows XP or Windows 2000
• 1024x768 Display Resolution at 16 bit color or greater
• Small Fonts option in Display settings
• Currently registered license holder of BTM-2007
